Privacy policy

When you send me a message or book a call, I receive a few details about you. This is what I do with them. In short: I use them only to reply and for any work we do together, I don't sell them and I don't send you marketing.

Who processes your data

The controller is Ing. Patrik Krajňák, a sole trader with Slovak business ID (IČO) 57959714, registered address Severná 1104/23, 045 01 Moldava nad Bodvou, Slovakia, registered in the Trade Register of the District Office Košice-okolie, No. 830-28998. For any question or to exercise your rights, email me at patrik.krajnak.dev@gmail.com.

What data and why

I process the data so I can reply to you and prepare an offer, at your request before any contract is signed (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

  • Contact form: your name, email, phone and company if you fill them in, and your message. The message reaches me by email.
  • Booking a call: your name, email, company and topic if you fill them in, and the time you pick. The time with your name and company goes into my Google Calendar and Google sends you an invite with a Google Meet link. The topic reaches me by email and stays out of the invite.
  • Abuse protection: so the form and the calendar cannot be used to send out messages and invites, the site uses your IP address when you submit. For a booking it stores only a short encrypted fingerprint of it with the call, never the address itself, and for the form it keeps it briefly in server memory. I do this out of legitimate interest in keeping the site secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Website traffic: Vercel Web Analytics counts visits anonymously and without cookies, it doesn't tell me who you are. I do this out of legitimate interest, to see which pages people find useful (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Clients: once we agree a contract, I process the name, email, phone and role of your contact people and your company's billing details. I need them to perform the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and to meet my tax obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

Data in your system

If I run a system for you that holds data about your customers, employees or clients, you are the controller and I am the processor. The rules, the list of sub-processors and the security measures are set out in the data processing agreement we conclude together. The data is stored in EU data centres and I use it for nothing other than what the system is for.

If you are one of the people whose data is in such a system, please contact the company you gave it to. If you write to me, I'll forward your request to them without delay.

Who receives the data

I don't sell your data or pass it on for marketing. It is handled only by the services that run the website, my communication and invoicing:

  • Vercel (USA): website hosting and anonymous traffic statistics.
  • Resend (USA): delivering contact form messages to my inbox.
  • Google: email, calendar and Google Meet.
  • SuperFaktúra (Slovakia): issuing invoices to clients.
  • Tax advisor: invoices, to the extent needed for my tax return.

Transfers outside the EU

These services may process data in the USA. The transfer relies on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

How long I keep the data

I keep messages and bookings for up to 2 years after our last contact if no work comes of them. If we work together, I keep them for the duration of the work and then as long as tax and accounting rules require.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, have it corrected or erased, restrict its processing, receive it in a portable form, and object to processing based on legitimate interest. Just email patrik.krajnak.dev@gmail.com and I'll reply within one month.

If you believe I handle your data wrongly, you can complain to the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic, Hraničná 12, 820 07 Bratislava, dataprotection.gov.sk, or to the authority in your own EU country.

Giving me your data is voluntary, but without a name and email I can't reply or schedule a call. I don't use automated decision-making or profiling.

Cookies

The website uses no advertising or tracking cookies. It only stores a cookie with the language you picked, until you close the browser, and your light or dark mode choice in the browser. Both exist only to show you the site the way you set it.

Tell me what you still do by hand.

A few lines about the process that slows you down or the system you need are enough. Within eight hours I'll get back to you on whether and how it can be built, and if it makes sense, we'll set up a short call.
